Bhoothathankettu is a dam and it one of the major tourist spots in Kerala which is located at Pindimana in Ernakulam district. It is an eco-tourist destination. It is only 10 Kms away from Kothamangalam. Bhoothathankettu is situated in the outskirt of the city. The structure of the Bhoothathankettu Dam is on both sides of the Periyar River the huge blocks of unshaped stones are kept to form the dam, it looks like a natural configuration constructed by superhumans. The Bhoothathankettu means Monster Fort and the ancestor’s believed that it was built by a Monster.
